TOPIC: SWAP THE CODER
STUDENTS PER TEAM: MAX 2
Round 1: IN & OUT
On reading the question, the first coder gets 5 mins to code as much as they can, followed by the second coder who swaps with them and continues the solution for the next 5 mins, the coders swap like this until time is up, completing as many questions as possible in increasing order of difficulty.
Round 2: BUGGERS
The first team member attempts a quiz while the second team member codes a working solution to a problem. After this a bug is introduced to the submitted solution which the first team member must debug, with the help of the second team member. However the second team member remains blindfolded, while helping him.
WHAT'S NEW
Fast paced and keeps the team on edge, requires ability to be in sync with the other team members way of thinking, and brings out the need of clear communication between the members even under pressure in order to debug others code.
